Countercultural Seattle Remembers is a blog about the history of Seattle’s counterculture and the many creative people who have contributed to it over the decades. As this blog develops, it will feature stories about Seattle’s beatniks, hippies, punks, and other manifestations of our city’s lively and ongoing counterculture, going back at least as far as the houseboating bohemians of Lake Union in the 1930s. Suggestions for topics are welcome; please send suggestions to jps [at] riseup.net.
